Akureyri Backpackers
As it’s an expensive country to visit, it’s pretty much impossible to find budget accommodation in Akureyri and Iceland. If you are trying to travel on a budget then one of the best places to stay in the town is the Akureyri Backpackers hostel.
The hostel is well-located in the centre of town, and there is a communal kitchen for guests to use. There is also an on-site bar and cafe, which is great if you’re looking to meet other travellers in the area.
Private rooms are available at Akureyri Backpackers, but if you’re looking for budget accommodation then it’s best to book into one of the dorm rooms.
